About Ollantaytambo
An Inca fortress and town where the Spanish suffered a rare defeat. The terraces rise 17 levels. The unfinished temple shows how the Inca transported 50-tonne stones from a quarry 6 km away up a mountain. Still has its original Inca street plan.
